Already Perfect at the King’s Head Theatre London Premiere Run Review

A strong and powerful new musical by Tony Award Winner Levi Kreis!

Already Perfect is a one act musical which focuses on Levi’s life before his Broadway show being filmed for the theatrical archives. Through the dressing room, Levi travels through his collection of memories on an emotional rollercoaster. The piece is beautifully honest, with great humour and music: with an underlying message of staying the same as you are already perfect the way you are. I was really eager to see this show, especially after hearing some of the score on instagram.

The set was really well put together for this smaller production, showing the room really well with great detail. The way the room changed from scene to scene really elevated the story: including the clever use of sliding doors and trap boxes. This is further helped by fantastic lighting with makes the stage and actors stand out. Similarly, the band supported the show well! Without spoiling the amazing story, the way the show is told is incredibly clever with each actor playing roles within Kreis’s life. I would give the show a solid 5/5 across the board, from all aspects: especially from the perfect performances.

Already Perfect, 2026

Yiftach ‘Iffy’ Mizrahi plays Ben, a support worker for Levi throughout his addictions. Ben is the driving force for the show, encouraging Levi to embrace his past and move forward. Mizrahi was amazing in his role, being able to play both Ben and the other characters throughout. His vocals were also great and his chemistry with the rest of the cast was very believable.

Killian Thomas Lefevre plays Matthew, the younger version of Levi. Lefevre was outstanding in this show, giving some amazing vocals in a brilliant number about loving his life. When it came to the emotional scenes, Lefevre delivered such an amazing performance: guiding himself through each difficult situation. His chemistry with Kreis was phenomenal throughout the show: helping to build the past and present relationships.

Levi Kreis plays Levi, who is telling his story to the audience. Throughout the entire show, Kreis was heartbreaking and uplifting to watch: waiving through his past. It must be incredibly hard to deliver this show but I’m extremely grateful Kreis felt he could do this with us. Kreis and Lefevre’s relationship on stage is electric: as he talks to his past self. Not to mention that Kreis’s vocals were outstanding throughout, and he played the music at times too!

Already Perfect continues their limited run till Sunday 15th February. Book now!
