Can You See Me? opens Saturday 8th August at the Museum of Comedy, allowing Vivien to use science to prove that the audience can not see her. Learn more about what you can expect:

1: You’ve spoken at the United Nations summits, and collaborate with NASA and Harvard. What inspired you to make your theatre debut with this show?

To unleash fun science from behind locked doors.

2: The show includes practical demonstrations. How challenging was it to integrate them into the show?

Very challenging! The audience will peek inside my brain (through live brainwave demos) and will “see beyond their reality” (through UV lights and infrared vision). All this required separate tools that had to be tested countless times.

3: You cover the famous black and blue (or white and gold) dress that sparked a lot of debate at the time. How fun was it to examine the science behind the varying colours people saw?

Fun, but it is even more fun wearing these dresses! 😉 The show incorporates 3 dress reveals / wardrobe changes and I can’t wait to see whether the audience sees the dress as black and blue or white and gold! There is going to be a live vote; let’s see who is right!

4: The show explores some complex scientific topics as well as being an entertainment stage show. What was it like to balance that?

I love mixing science and entertainment – that is one of the reasons why Will Smith and Leonardo DiCaprio “guest-star” with me in the show.

5: What do you want people to take away with them after watching this show?

The secret envelope that they will receive at the end of the show, haha. It includes 2 more experiments that demonstrates that we not only see reality differently, but also hear and TASTE it differently!

6: What has been the most enjoyable part of creating Can You See Me?!

Caring for my bioluminescent plankton – an aquatic creature that generates light on its own and will co-star with me on stage, literally lighting up the room!
